If you find yourself treating your long-term dating partner like a old friend rather than a fiery lover, than this may prove that you and your significant other have become too comfortable in your relationship.

According to a recent sex dating study, 66 percent of common-law relationships end over the monotony a couple’s every day routine.  This routine can lead to troubling factors such as infidelity, arguments and depression.

The good news is that a lot of couples go through this on a day to day basis.  Every relationship has its ups and downs, but it’s up to you to fix it and make it work when things are less than stellar.

In order to reclaim the spark that flew between both of you when you first started dating is go on a date.  Remember the times when you talked for hours upon hours about the stories you have now heard a million times? Resurrect that magic and atmosphere by taking your partner on formal dates to remind yourself why you fell in love with this person in the first place.

It may sound like an unnecessary chore to plan a date with your partner who you see on an everyday basis. However, it is always important to make time for your partner.  If you have children, make sure they have a babysitter.  If you don’t, make sure to turn off your blackberries and iPhones. The only thing you should be attentive on is reviving the passion back into your love life with your partner.

Don’t do the same old thing you always do.  If you go out to eat all the time, do something different.  Take a walk, go for a late concert, but most importantly, be spontaneous! Spontaneity is the key to successful passion in a partnership and it can lead to some beneficial bedroom fun afterwards as well.

Remember that relationships are work and they take effort to make them work.  If you’re willing to put in the effort then your chances of rekindling the spark between you two is very likely.
